Thibaut Giband

 My name is Thibaut GIBAND.

I’m an all-around fly-fishing instructor and live in Strasbourg, France. I’m an FFE ambassador and share my knowledge by giving fly-fishing demos in France and Europe. I also teach fly-fishing and fly-casting techniques in individual classes.

Like many of us, I’m obsessed by water and have long been fishing, having discovered fly fishing by the age of 10. From that time, fly fishing has ruled a significant part of my life.

I'm lucky I’ve been able to travel around Europe to feed my passion, and my fishing style naturally reflects this varied experience. Above all, I like to fish dry flies on tricky waters where line control and precision are the name of the game. Nevertheless, I’ve got a wide fishing spectrum: single or double hand, dry flies, poppers, streamers, wet flies or nymphs, salt or freshwater.

As a long time visitor, I’m proud to be invited to be a participant at the EWF. I’m delighted to give this demo and hopefully will provide the spectators with some useful tricks.
