The Autumn-EWF will look like this ...
You will find the exhibitors in the exhibition halls of the Tenne. Around 50 exhibitors will present and sell their products there on two floors. Travel providers, lodge owners, clubs with fly fishing waters will inform about various destinations. Also fly fishing schools, whether single- or double-handed, will offer their courses.
The entire outside area of the monastery grounds will be available to all companies and visitors for testing and trying of the rods, reels, and lines. Many companies with fishing tackle will have an own designated casting station, where their staff members, casters, or instructors can be found. Internationally known casters invite you to test, try, and cast the rods of well-known brands.
In the entire Tenne, around 30 fly tiers will give their fly tying demonstrations, show their fly tying patterns, and share tips on fly tying.
For the first time at the EWF: the fly tying clinic. Three internationally known fly tiers will help with the fly tying, show typical steps at the vise, and assist with tying problems.
There will be a big beginners' programme on the first floor of the Tenne: Hans Eiber, already an "old hand" in this programme, as well as Rainer Roth and Horst Burgstaller invite all interested beginners and novices in fly fishing to their stand. They will get a comprehensive consultation and presentation of fly fishing tackle, clothing, and anything else that might be needed there. Together with them, they will pick out the tackle suitable for them. There will also be the opportunity to immediately try out the tackle in the outside area.
Also this year, fly fisherwomen can again direct their questions and wishes to Glenda Powell from Ireland at her stand on the ground floor of the Tenne or to Ramona Hani, enthusiastic fly fisherwoman from Austria, at the stand of the Österreichischen Fischereigesellschaft e.v. est. in 1880. Both of them are always happy about a lively chat.
On Saturday, the 24th of October, at 10am, the winners of the 14th Open German Fly-Tying Championship will be announced in the foyer of the Tenne.
Also for the so popular conviviality "get together" and the culinary well-being will be catered for - especially after the long break because of the Corona pandemic.
A big beer garden in the courtyard in front of the Tenne as well as a pizza chef with his wood-fired oven and a big coffee cart invite you to regain strength, to tell your friends about the past adventures, or to plan new trips.
We welcome all fly fishermen and fly fisherwomen at the event forum Fürstenfeld on 23 and 24 October, when the 16th EWF will again open its doors.
